Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at GPS Hospitality. As a key member of our restaurant management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Restaurant General Manager in developing a team of dedicated individuals who deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive top-line sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction
  • Train and coach team members to achieve operational and financial goals
  • Utilize GPS Hospitality Systems to run a successful restaurant every shift
  • Implement restaurant controls, including cash and inventory management
  • Set and meet restaurant goals for service, operations, and financial results
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and follow all government regulations and employment laws

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
  • ServSafe certification preferred
