Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Delivery team at MWH Treatment.
This role will involve managing the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of contracts to ensure they are completed efficiently, within the specified timeframe, and within the tender estimate, while maintaining the health and safety of all personnel and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to, managing, and updating construction programmes to ensure key milestones are met;
- Organizing, chairing, and participating in collaborative planning sessions to ensure critical activities are programmed with all key stakeholders;
- Preparing and issuing invitations to tender, collating responses, and preparing cost-benefit analysis with recommendations for award;
- Preparing and circulating requisitions to buyers;
- Coordinating technical activities between MWH engineering and supply chain partners;
- Providing day-to-day support to the site management team to ensure any issues are resolved or escalated;
- Reviewing consolidated invoices, identifying errors, and omissions prior to payment approval;
- Challenging stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, doing things differently, and improving working practices to realize opportunities and minimize risk – both to safety and commercial performance;
- Managing and coordinating the risk register and providing monthly updates. Assisting Project Managers to manage early warnings to variations to the risk register with the project management team;
- Attending Health & Safety, Progress, Employee Forums, and Coordination meetings as required;
- Working with the Project Manager, Health & Safety, Design, and Construction teams to report on all near misses/unsafe conditions/accidents/incidents;
- Preparing pre-start packs and collating and uploading collated data to systems;
- Working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans, input commitments, and monitor project out-turn costs, reporting to the PM any variations and assisting in the preparation of mitigation plans;
- Championing design liaison meetings;
- Supporting the team to ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and that all activities are carried out with due regard to the Health and Safety of all employees, Clients, and members of the general public;
