Active Care Group is committed to providing exceptional care to our clients, and we are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and independence of our clients, providing personal care and support with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support clients with daily activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Encourage clients to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being
  • Liaise with clients' families and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in manual handling procedures and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Previous experience in care or a related field (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on a rolling 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off shift pattern

About Our Client:

Our client is a lovely gentleman who has a spinal cord injury but still enjoys being as active as possible. He is a dedicated vegetarian who prefers to eat tasty vegetarian meals with his Support Workers and has 2 dogs who he adores but needs support with their care.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible
  • Liaise with and support the family as required
  • Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained
  • Support the client to use local amenities and attend community events

What You'll Have:

  • A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible
  • Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop
