At South Essex College of Further and Higher Education, we are seeking an experienced Domestic Heating and Plumbing Technician to join our team.

Job Description

This role involves providing work-based assessment, coaching, and support to apprentices to enable them to meet their course requirements, including End Point Assessment. The post holder will be supporting apprentices working towards the Plumbing & Domestic Heating standard along with other skills, knowledge, and behaviours that are developed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing work-based assessment and coaching to apprentices to help them develop the necessary skills and knowledge for their course.
  • Supporting apprentices in their learning and development, including setting goals and objectives, and providing feedback and guidance.
  • Working closely with the college's Apprenticeship Team to ensure that all apprentices receive the support they need to succeed.

The estimated salary for this role is around £28,000 per annum, and the College reserves the right to fill this vacancy ahead of the closing date if a suitable candidate is found.

Requirements
  • Applicants should have a strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems, as well as relevant experience in the industry.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
