M Group Services, a leading provider of essential infrastructure services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to various industries, including water and wastewater facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team on projects primarily in the water & waste water, power distribution, and petrochemical industries.
  • Support Project Managers with knowledge to complete simple design and project engineering functions.
  • Progressively and increasingly become involved in, and be responsible for, elements of design and project delivery.
  • Continual professional development, including professional registration, is encouraged and actively supported.
  • Attend and contribute to internal and external design review and progress meetings.
  • Participate in design co-ordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals.
  • Produce cable calculations.
  • Produce electrical schematic diagrams and documentation.
  • Review specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications.
  • Procure electrical equipment and support for subcontract procurement based on detailed specifications.
  • Ensure site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards.
  • Record and review as-built information.
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer or equivalent with experience in relevant industry and preferably previous experience in the water/wastewater sector. You should possess sound knowledge of current legislation and be able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional organisational skills, are essential.
