Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator

Gregory Group is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor and support the implementation of HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSEQ matters, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with site managers and department heads to identify and mitigate potential hazards and improve overall HSEQ performance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of HSEQ performance, including incident reports, risk assessments, and training records.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide support for HSEQ audits and inspections, including preparation of audit reports and corrective action plans.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry such as distribution and warehousing.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HSE or a similar role.
  • Industry-recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present to senior managers.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business requires.
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to analyze data and find timely solutions to problems.
  • Hard working and conscientious.
  • Ability to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines at short notice.
  • Strong decision-making skills.

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience).
