Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and support the implementation of HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on HSEQ matters, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with site managers and department heads to identify and mitigate potential hazards and improve overall HSEQ performance.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of HSEQ performance, including incident reports, risk assessments, and training records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide support for HSEQ audits and inspections, including preparation of audit reports and corrective action plans.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry such as distribution and warehousing.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HSE or a similar role.
- Industry-recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present to senior managers.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business requires.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to analyze data and find timely solutions to problems.
- Hard working and conscientious.
- Ability to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines at short notice.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience).
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:30hrs - 17:00hrs.
