About the Role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the maintenance and repair of production equipment, including Air Handling Units (AHU), Cochran Steam Boilers, and Chiller plant equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Control Specialist to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Enter maintenance tasks into our computer maintenance management system (CMMS) using IBM Maximo.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors, including reviewing training documents and Risk Assessment/Method Statements (RAMS).
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering or maintenance role, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with Alan Bradley PLC, including fault diagnosis, is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations related to maintenance activities.
  • Good understanding of GMP compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
