Located just outside of Edinburgh, we are seeking an innovative IT Support Engineer to join our animal welfare-focused research and scientific organisation. As a 1st Line IT Support role, you will be the primary point of contact for our IT Service Desk, supporting approximately 180 users across various departments within the company.

The team is comprised of four 'hands-on' Engineers, with two 1st Line Engineers and two 2nd Line Engineers, reporting directly to the IT Service Delivery Manager. Our ticketing system enables efficient logging and resolution of issues, often through phone calls and emails, necessitating excellent communication skills.

We are looking for candidates with experience in or knowledge of:

  • Office Applications
  • Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory Domain
  • Customer-Facing roles
  • Different Areas of Network (Wired & Wireless)

New graduates in IT-related fields are also encouraged to apply, as we offer opportunities for recent graduates to upskill for this position.

In return for your expertise, we can offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,000 and a generous benefits package including a 15% employer pension contribution, 38 days holiday package, on-site catering facilities, and our benefits platform offering discounts for food and shopping.

This is an urgent requirement, and we aim to streamline our interview process consisting of a single stage, where you will meet the IT Team for technical and competency-led questions, followed by a discussion with HR.
