Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a locum consultant in neurology at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients and work closely with existing neurologists to achieve exceptional outcomes.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced consultant with a strong background in neurology to fill this fixed-term position for 12 months. As a key member of our medical services team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, participating in governance activities, and engaging with colleagues to drive service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert diagnostic opinions and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  2. Supervise and mentor junior doctors, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and support.
  3. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at the time of interview.
  • College Membership (MRCP) or qualification of an equivalent level.
  • Advanced Life Support certification or ability to achieve it immediately upon appointment.

Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
