Industrial Equipment Maintenance Position

Our client, a renowned organisation, is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Trainee Mechanical Fitter in their ELLON workshop. This position involves working closely with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of industrial machinery and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an industrial setting, possess strong mechanical skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Job
  • Maintain, repair, and service industrial machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • Provide logistical support, moving materials and equipment as required
  • Participate in auxiliary tasks, such as cleaning and preparation of equipment
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is essential
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of overhead crane and forklift operations is highly desirable
Work Environment and Benefits
  • 37-40 hours per week, regular day shift pattern
  • Competitive hourly rate: £15 per hour
  • Annual bonus scheme: Up to £1,800
  • Overtime available at time and a half
  • Holiday allowance: 34 days per annum, including public holidays
  • Pension contribution: 9% combined (4% employer, 5% employee)
