About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher with a specialism in Food, who is also able to deliver KS3 Art. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in inspiring disengaged students, delivering personalised and engaging lessons, and promoting a positive learning environment that sets high expectations for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans in Food and Art to inspire and engage students, helping them make significant progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to achieve the best possible outcomes for each student, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
  • Build strong relationships with students, serving as a positive role model and setting high standards for their behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that values and supports all students, ensuring they feel safe and confident to learn.
  • Offer pastoral care, support, and guidance as a form tutor, providing a nurturing and supportive presence in the classroom.
  • Maintain a productive learning environment conducive to student success, using effective classroom management techniques to maximise engagement and motivation.
  • Deliver and assess KS4 qualifications relevant to the curriculum, ensuring students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for future success.
About You:

The ideal candidate will be a suitably qualified teacher with a passion for Food and Art, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a talent for building positive relationships with students, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs. Prior experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential. You will be supportive, positive, and able to engage students, making a real difference in their lives.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in Food, with the ability to teach KS3 Art.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, including the ability to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, enabling you to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • A commitment to inclusion and positive educational experiences for all students, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
