Exciting Opportunity for a Social Work Advanced Practitioner

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency with a strong reputation for excellence, is seeking an experienced Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join their Quality Assurance team in Barnsley.

About the Role

This is a locum opportunity for a skilled Social Work professional to work on a full-time basis, providing high-quality services to children, young people, and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing social work services, handling complex cases, assessing and managing risks, and sharing specialist knowledge for practice development.
  • Supporting the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team by identifying areas for service improvement and good practice through audits.
  • Collaborating with Partner agencies to develop and conduct multi-agency audits, ensuring efficient support for children, young people, and families.
  • Assisting with arranging case file audits, distributing and filing them per procedures, and gathering feedback from children, young people, and families on services received.
  • Supporting senior colleagues in analyzing audit findings, reviewing policies, and enhancing professional development for practitioners.
  • Conducting DIP sampling on specific topics, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement in line with audit activities.
  • Assisting Children in Care services, including Future Directions, residential, and fostering services.
  • Helping senior colleagues prioritize, allocate, and review work, ensuring efficient budget management and quality assurance.
  • Contributing to service monitoring, needs analysis, and policy development to maintain high service quality.
  • Managing complex cases, promoting independence, early intervention, and self-directed support to meet targets and improve quality of life for service users.
  • Supporting the team in Ofsted-related activities, including evidence collection and preparation for inspections.
  • Undertaking additional audit tasks as assigned to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children's Services.
  • Experience working with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection planning.
  • Ideally experience working within the Public Law Outline and Court proceedings.
