About the Role

Vanderlande Industries GmbH is the market leader in efficient logistics process automation within the airports and parcel sector. As a Baggage Control Room Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of baggage handling systems at London Heathrow Airport.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor baggage systems via bespoke computer-controlled systems, configuring routes and inputting operational data.
  2. Communicate effectively with internal and external colleagues to resolve baggage equipment faults.
  3. Proactively identify bags at risk and compile daily reports on this analysis.
  4. Develop knowledge of contingency processes and criticality of baggage equipment.
  5. Support the BCCR team during baggage-related incidents.
  6. Allocate arrival flights in a proactive manner.
  7. Analyse data to identify improvement areas in processes and system performance.
