Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Early Years and Key Stage 1
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Early Years and Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will provide support to children with additional needs, working closely with teachers to ensure all children access the curriculum and make progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with additional needs in EYFS and KS1 classrooms
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individual learning plans
- Assist with planning and preparation of lessons and activities
- Provide one-to-one support to children as needed
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with additional needs
- Ability to work closely with teachers and other support staff
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience of working with children with SEND needs, including learning needs and physical needs
- Knowledge of the Year 4 national curriculum expectations
Working Arrangements:
This is a fixed-term contract linked to SEN provision.
