Teaching Assistant for SEND Students

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team working with SEND schools and ARPs in Barking & Dagenham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, providing academic support and personal care to students with complex needs.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Promote the social and emotional well-being of students, assisting them in developing vital life skills.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in providing personal care.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
