Railway Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Railway Infrastructure Manager to join our team in York. As part of our Structures and Buildings teams, you will play a key role in managing the capability of structural assets, ensuring compliance to Network Rail standards. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage structures assessment compliance in accordance with Network Rail standards.
  • Evaluate structural assessment reports and specify interim mitigations and permanent interventions as necessary.
  • Undertake engineering analysis and risk assessments of assets or asset components.
  • Liaise with the central engineering team to develop and disseminate best practice.
  • Maintain structures assessment data and information within company systems and processes.
  • Participate in investigations of incidents relating to structures.
  • Review proposals that could impact on the capability of route structures assets and/or programmes of work.
  • Support the review and approval of abnormal vehicular and rail loads.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, and significant experience in Civil or Structural Engineering. Incorporated Engineer status is desirable. You should also have knowledge of Structural Assessment techniques and experience of working in the railway industry.

Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of circa £27,000 per annum, 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and 35 hours per week. You will also be entitled to a 75% discount off leisure tickets.
