The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality, compliant, safe, and fit-for-purpose cleaning service delivery across the campus and client portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in the management of cleaning contracts in a multi-unit site and be educated to a technical discipline. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent management skills, including teamwork, appraisal reviews, discipline, absence, and performance management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a high-quality, compliant, safe, and fit-for-purpose cleaning service delivery across the campus and client portfolio.
  • Providing direction and overall management of cleaning operations as necessary to fulfill contractual obligations with the client.
  • Directing company programs and implementing company policy to ensure total compliance within legislation and contractual obligations with the client.
  • Line management responsibilities for the assistant managers of the cleaning team, including planning, assigning, and directing all tasks, performance evaluations, reward schemes, and disciplinary issues.
  • Accountable for the planning and execution of training schemes for all direct reports to ensure the appropriate skills are demonstrated at each level and are appropriate for the role.
  • Providing regular reports to the client on KPI performance and developing innovative proposals to reduce the overall cleaning costs through ongoing review with site teams.
  • Overseeing the management of all 3rd-party supplier contracts to ensure alignment with client SLAs, value for money, and/or management of any shortfall.
  • Promoting and maintaining a positive, proactive H&S culture within the cleaning team and wider on-site teams through training, communication, unsafe act/condition reporting, and lessons learned.
  • Financially accountable for the cleaning budget, including staffing, equipment, consumables, and 3rd-party suppliers.
  • Complying with and supporting industry-standard accreditation, such as 1514001, 1518001, Investors in People, and BICSs.
  • Ensuring the recruitment, induction, training, and motivation of staff to achieve required standards of performance.
  • Delivering effective communication and reporting within the cleaning operation, other service delivery teams, wider Kingdom management, and the client.
  • Producing and maintaining an appropriate succession plan for the team, identifying skills, gaps, and training requirements.
  • Accountable for the creation and execution of work schedules in line with contract SLAs, work order management, and other client/management requests.
  • Management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Overseeing standards of cleaning across the site through quality checks and audit, completing reports and action plans as appropriate.
  • Identifying and implementing ongoing best practice, standardization, and technology improvements to the cleaning operation.
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided at all levels within the organization to meet/exceed the customer's expectations.
  • Assisting in the reporting of building/cleaning issues and the raising of helpdesk tickets to ensure total service delivery to the client.
  • Attending external and internal training events as required.
  • Liaising with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Attending off-site and in-house training events.
  • Providing guidance and support to Kingdom Management on all matters within the cleaning operation.
  • Reporting any building defects and hazards to the Customer Service Helpdesk.
  • Assisting in ensuring all cleaning work orders are responded to quickly and efficiently within agreed SLAs.
  • Following company procedures for the reporting of holidays, sickness, and other absences.
  • Meeting company expectations in relation to conduct and performance.
  • Actively demonstrating Kingdom core values.
  • Following all company procedures, policies, and rules.
