Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Soft Landscape Foreperson to join our team at Fresh Horticultural Careers. As a key member of our Construction division, you will be responsible for leading the soft landscaping and horticultural activities to bring design-led horticultural plans to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of landscaping staff on site to deliver high-end soft landscaping projects in line with exacting specifications.
  • Read and action site design plans to ensure the horticultural elements are delivered as prescribed.
  • Manage horticultural resources alongside the overall Site Forepersons and the company's Plant Procurement Specialist to deliver an effective and timely service.
  • Ensure superb quality in terms of plant/tree health while on site.
  • Liaise and communicate with all external stakeholders while sensitively managing those relationships.
  • Maintain and manage all horticultural elements on site to ensure sustained good health.
  • Turfing and its maintenance.
  • Tree planting, working alongside specialists where required.
Requirements
  • Recognised horticultural qualification, able to demonstrate excellent plant knowledge.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • CSCS card.
  • Competent in using the appropriate power tools where required.
  • Certificates in spraying (PA1 PA6), and Ride-on Mowers would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and implementing procedures.
