About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Surgical Division as a Consultant. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care and will be responsible for leading the development of our surgical patients' journey.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of patient-centered, evidence-based care in our surgical division.
  • Contribute to the wider multi-professional MDT, including clinical governance, education, audit, and research.
  • Day-to-day leadership of the trainee/trained surgical ACP team, working closely with consultant ACPs and the Trust Lead ACP.
  • Extensive surgical experience and ability to demonstrate robust experience within the 4 pillars of advanced practice.
Requirements
  • Registered Professional
  • Qualified in Advanced Practice, including qualifications in non-medical prescribing (V300) and physical assessment.
  • Specialist accreditation or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Formal teaching and mentorship qualification.
  • Masters degree in relevant area of study.
  • Advance Life Support Qualification.
  • Extensive experience in emergency/surgical care, including experience within leadership and development roles.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Evidence of ability to measure and evaluate outcomes of the team.
  • Evidence of substantial contributions to practice and service development.
  • Research experience in emergency care.

  • Advanced level of emergency/surgical care knowledge.
  • Substantial experience of initiating and leading change across professions and agencies.
  • Able to provide expert advice and display advanced decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire others.
