About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

We're seeking to recruit a Site Engineer with Highways experience in the Brackley area. The successful candidate will oversee and supervise construction activities, ensuring that they comply with the project plans and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and drawings
  • Liaise with subcontractors and other professional staff, particularly Works Managers, Foremen, Section Engineers, and Sub Agents
  • Ensure project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets, or timescales
  • Provide technical advice and solve problems on-site
  • Perform basic setting out and as-built surveys
  • Place requisitions/material orders and request permits
  • Conduct quality controls of subcontracted work and self-delivered activities

About The Candidate

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in Highways construction. The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly in highway works
  • Proficiency in using engineering software like AutoCAD and tools such as GPS and total stations
  • Familiarity with UK building and construction regulations
  • Holder of CSCS card
  • Full driving licence required
