Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Retail Merchandising Specialist to join our team in Axminster. As a key member of our field-based retail merchandising team, you will work primarily within The Entertainer concession within Tesco, with opportunities to expand into other categories.

About the Role

This role is based in Tesco Axminster and requires approximately 5 hours of confirmed working time per week, including Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Ad-hoc work and occasional evening shifts may also be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandising Expertise: You will possess in-depth knowledge of the Entertainer brand and products, ensuring seamless execution of merchandising standards and guidelines.
  • Compliance and Standards: You will adhere to store policies, procedures, health and safety protocols, and implement planograms to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Product Placement and Replenishment: You will optimize product visibility and appeal on shelves and displays.
  • Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: You will effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers through promotional displays and signage.
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building: You will establish and maintain positive relationships with in-store colleagues and provide timely feedback to client account teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in merchandising, retail, or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently, using initiative to find solutions within set timeframes
  • Commitment to delivering high standards and exceptional service
  • Able to lift and move products as required
  • Comfortable accepting home deliveries for point-of-sale items (paid extra)
  • Proficient in using company tablets for downloading briefs, taking photos, and answering questions
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car are advantageous

Estimated salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
