About the Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate or Assistant Civil Engineer to take on a challenging role and contribute to the delivery of high-profile highway schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and delivery of a wide range of highway schemes, including town and city regeneration, retail parks, supermarkets, residential schemes, and urban extensions.
  • Collaborate with the consultancy team and external suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective design solutions for Section 278 and 38 highway schemes.
  • Work closely with the approving authority to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of Flood Risk Assessments and design of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
  • Represent the employer on a client-facing basis and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering degree or similar.
  • Previous experience in an Infrastructure Design role, preferably with a focus on highway schemes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Section 104 and 106 for drainage.
  • Proficient in design software, including AutoCAD, AutoTrack, PDS, PDS Line, and PDS Sign.
  • Desirable experience in Microdrainage and Lighting Reality.
  • Must have a driving license and own car.
