Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SLB. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining mechanical products that meet the business needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical products, including layouts, models, drawings, and documentation, in close collaboration with other disciplines and functions.
- Assist in identifying product requirements and risks, and define risk control plans.
- Develop and maintain mechanical layouts, including 3D models and drawings, using CAD systems, and develop and maintain bills of materials.
- Participate in the verification of designs using analytical or finite element models or physical tests, and document test results.
- Design and build prototypes and associated fabrication and test tooling.
- Create and maintain product file documentation, including fabrication and test procedures.
- Participate in the definition of test procedures, perform tests, and document results.
- Publish accurate status reports, provide timely corrective actions on encountered defects or issues, and continually evaluate engineering approaches and risks.
- Participate in technical reviews of requirements, risks, designs, product files, and other artifacts.
- Prepare technical user documentation, provide training and support to field users and clients, and present new or improved products to technical and management audiences.
- May assign, direct, and review the work of technicians, mentor junior engineers, share expertise internally, and expand informal networks throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the capture of company experience in design books and other standards, procedures, training packages, and author or co-author technical reports, invention disclosures, papers, and presentations.
- Keep abreast of novel technologies, including manufacturing processes and techniques, and continually improve skills to develop innovative and cost-effective products.
- Maintain familiarity with the company's technology, organization, and business, and comply with applicable company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Subsea Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Professional experience within Mechanical Engineering, such as through an internship.
