The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing metal grinding operations using shop floor equipment. A background in surface grinding is essential, and experience with cylindrical grinding is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake metal grinding operations using shop floor equipment
  • Read and work from engineering drawings
  • Produce parts within quality standard required
  • Work to tight tolerances
  • Be flexible across machine shop/factory
  • Assist team leader as required

Requirements

The successful candidate must have time-served competence in grinding and extensive experience in engineering organisations. Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances are essential. Additionally, flexibility and willingness to work overtime are required.

Benefits

This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary range of £30,000 - £31,270 per annum, inclusive of benefits such as on-site parking and pension scheme. Overtime is available with an additional rate.
