Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our client's R&D function in Dorchester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for participating in and reviewing mechanical design solutions to ensure that delivered systems meet customers' needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and review mechanical design solutions developed by the Mechanical Engineering department
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to technical team members throughout all phases of the product development process
  • Ensure that all functional and non-functional performance requirements are met and that design solutions are robust and cost-effective

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Electro-mechanical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of CAD and other related software-aided design tools
  • Experience with 2D and 3D optical and laser-based vision systems
  • Previous experience delivering statistical analysis of experimental, test, and quality data
  • A degree in Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Automotive or aerospace sectors
  • Prior experience with electro-mechanical power, torque, and efficiency calculations
