Pathologist Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Pathologist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. This is a substantive appointment, based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
Main Responsibilities- Participate in surgical cutup, surgical reporting, cytology reporting, ensuring delivery of high-quality histopathology, cytopathology services.
- Advise and consult on clinical matters with colleagues, general practitioners, and Trust staff.
- Contribute to training of Clinical fellows.
- Manage laboratory staff, setting clinical priorities and resolving operational problems.
- Lead laboratory staff on clinical matters, instructing and working with them in day-to-day handling of cases.
- Participate in audit, accreditation, quality assurance schemes.
- Work with colleagues on strategic clinical direction, development of pathology service.

A competitive salary between £85,000 - £108,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Requirements- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or eligible for registration within six months of interview
- FRCPATH or equivalent qualification
