About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Teacher of Computer Science to join our department from January 2025, on a full-time, temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave for up to one year.

About the Department

The department is passionate and determined to deliver high standards to all learners. The appointed educator will teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Computer Science to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies
Requirements
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people
  • Effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour
  • Effective time management; able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
  • Excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others
  • Excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies
