Band 8c Consultant Midwife – Public Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Midwife to lead our public health initiatives in maternity settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing our services, supporting public health initiatives, and providing inspirational leadership to experienced midwives. As an exemplary role model, you will support and advise women appropriately, working closely with our diverse community and delivering over 6,500 births yearly.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead significant service development in public health
• Provide inspirational leadership to experienced midwives
• Act as an exemplary role model to hospital and community staff and pre-registration student midwives
• Support and advise women appropriately

Requirements

• Registered Midwife, currently registered to practice
• Educated to Masters level in public health / midwifery or related subject
• Professional Midwifery Advocate
• Teaching Qualification

Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in all aspects of Midwifery especially public health
• History of Publication
