About the Role

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join their team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum.

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities associated with pharmacy technical services. This includes acting as a validated dispenser for the manufacture of sterile products, supporting the production of radiopharmaceuticals, and providing supervision to a team of technicians and pharmacy assistants.

You will also be required to complete specialist training in PIPC (Pre- and In-Process Checking) and PAAP (Product Approval Accreditation Program) to check and approve batches of medicines prepared under the Medicines Act 1968 Section 10 exemption.

Requirements
  • BTEC/NVQ 3 Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent qualification
  • Professional Registration with the GPHC or equivalent
  • Experience in a pharmacy production environment or equivalent
