About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and visionary Head of Geography Education to join our team at Principal Education. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our geography department and developing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a geography curriculum that is tailored to the needs of our students and aligned with national standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of geography teachers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that our geography program is integrated into the broader educational experience of our students.
  • Manage the geography department's budget and resources, ensuring that we have the necessary tools and equipment to deliver an excellent education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in geography education.
  • Proven experience in teaching geography across key stages.
  • Leadership experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
