Job Description:

Lead Electrician for Renewable Energy Projects

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical engineering and experience in managing solar PV installations.

About the Role:

This is a senior role where you will be responsible for leading the delivery of day-to-day commercial solar PV installations. You will form part of the project management function and advise on technical design and purchasing decisions. You will also be responsible for ongoing training and recruitment of the electrical team, as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading the delivery of commercial solar PV installations.
  • Forming part of the project management function and advising on technical design and purchasing decisions.
  • Ongoing training and recruitment of the electrical team, as necessary.
  • Ensuring jobs are completed and resolving any issues relating to the installation prior to handover, ensuring they meet our required quality standards.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong technical background in electrical engineering (Level 3 NVQ, HNC/HND).
  • Commercially strong with experience of leading a team of installation electricians and a practical problem solver.
  • Excellent IT skills and understanding of connecting PV and battery systems for web monitoring.
  • ECS Card with additional safety qualifications for working at heights, confined spaces, etc.


What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include excellent bonus scheme up to 10% p.a., company van, good standard accommodation, meal allowance and working away allowance provided when on jobs out of area, 25 days holiday plus Birthday off and Bank Holidays, Company Contributory Pension Scheme, Health Scheme, Death in Service, and other associated benefits.
