Job Title: Senior Telecoms Project Engineer

Join Viasat, a leading global communications company, as a Senior Telecoms Project Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering support on a wide range of turnkey telecoms projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project management and coordination
  2. Systems design and development
  3. Preparation of engineering documents and reports
  4. Testing and commissioning of telecoms systems

You will work closely with the Project Management group to ensure the effective delivery of projects and services to customers, and with the Sales Group to ensure the effective delivery of technical consultation and estimates for bids and proposals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance with Company policies, standards, and regulations
  2. Management of a virtual project team, including lead engineer and supervision of other engineers and technicians
  3. Detailed design, production of project documents and drawings, configuration, pre-fat testing, and conduction of client witnessed fats
  4. Effective management of all project stakeholders during the project lifecycle
  5. Liaison with suppliers and third parties to ensure smooth and successful delivery of each project
  6. Support the Company Quality Program to uphold the highest quality standards
  7. Commitment to HSE standards and provision of training, awareness, and job planning for zero incidents and accidents
  8. Travel and attend customer meetings, project review meetings, FATs, vendor system testing, site installation supervision, site commissioning, and witnessing SATs
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Engineering or relevant technical subject (preferably in Electrical & Electronics or Telecommunications)
  2. Cisco CCNA/CCNP accreditation
  3. Experience in project work and proven work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent EU citizenship/valid work permit
