Process Engineer (Lamination & Laser Welding) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our client's team, a leading manufacturer and developer of flexible printed circuits for the electric vehicle market.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing assembly and thermal lamination processes through tooling expertise, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and risk assessments to evaluate tooling concepts and identify optimal solutions.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including tooling modifications, upgrades, and automation solutions.
  • Lead process engineering activities focused on thermal lamination and laser welding processes, with a primary emphasis on process and tooling design, development, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to develop tooling requirements and specifications for assembly and thermal lamination processes.
  • Optimize tooling designs and processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering roles with a focus on assembly and thermal lamination tooling.
  • Strong expertise in process writing, tooling design, development, and optimization, particularly in automotive or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools for process modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
