Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Health Physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-standard occupational health services to clients nationwide, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.

Main Objectives:

  • Deliver occupational health services to clients and maintain the highest standard of advice.
  • Promote the Occupational Health services available.
  • Ensure standards of best practice and standardization of systems.

Specific Duties:

  • Act as Corporate Medical Advisor/Occupational Health Physician to organizations, dealing with occupational health issues from pre-employment to ill health retirement.
  • Provide medical advice on disability to client insurance companies for claims.
  • Offer clinical advice as Medical Advisors to Pension Trustees on fitness for entry into pension schemes and claims for early ill health retirement.
  • Utilize Medigold's internal medical records database and diary system.
  • Attend client premises to provide clinic services or case management advice.

General Office Duties:

  • Understand the Company's objectives and values.
  • Assist with induction and training of new employees within the Team.
  • Manage confidential data in line with the Data Protection Act.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to continuously improve the Customer Experience.

Requirements for this Role:

  • DipOccMed/AFOM / MFOM qualification is the minimum.
  • Current GMC registration.
  • Good understanding of employment law.
  • Qualified to undertake HAVs testing is essential.
