Senior Clinical Leader in Trauma and Orthopaedics

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Leader in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled professional who can provide effective leadership and clinical expertise to our busy trauma unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the need for a highly skilled and experienced nurse leader who can take charge of our trauma unit and work effectively with our multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the shift, developing and implementing effective care plans, and providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A current NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN)
- Completion of a Practice Supervisor/Accelerator course or similar qualification
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with current best practices
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
We would welcome applications from candidates who hold a Diploma in Professional Practice or are working towards this qualification. Previous experience as a senior staff nurse, particularly within the NHS, would also be advantageous.
Key Skills and Attributes
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate leadership potential and a clear understanding of current professional and research issues. Good computer and keyboard skills are also essential for this role.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is between £38,890 and £44,884 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
