About the Role

The SEN Teaching Assistant role at Esland involves working with students who require additional support to access our broad balanced curriculum. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping our students develop their skills of independence and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in accessing our curriculum.
  • Develop strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver effective lessons.

Requirements:

  • Strong awareness of how to meet the needs of primary and secondary-aged children who have experienced difficulty in accessing mainstream education.
  • Ability to work effectively with students who have complex needs.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid.
