Amentum is a leading global technical and engineering services partner.

We are seeking a Senior Quality Manager to join our team on major projects located near Aldermaston.

Purpose and Objective:

  • The Senior Quality Manager will ensure the effective performance of all quality and nuclear safety activities against project specifications and standards.
  • Endorse and demonstrate good quality attitudes and behaviours in line with the company policy values.
  • Promote nuclear safety awareness and develop a 'Right First Time' culture throughout the project.
  • Lead and participate in License Condition compliance audits.
  • Undertake corrective actions to maintain or improve compliance and best practice.

Reporting to:

  • Quality Director and Project Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with and support the development and management of the Integrated Management System.
  • Responsible for quality related project documentation.
  • Manage the internal and supplier audit programme.
  • Deliver QA/QC oversight and assurance arrangements for projects and supply chain.
  • Ensure procedures and management processes are maintained in line with regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and advice to project teams on quality issues.
  • Encourage learning from experience to aid continual improvement.
  • Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date.
  • Represent quality during project meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and support their pursuance.
  • Establish a good internal working relationship with project personnel.
  • Support and champion the development of a 'Right First Time' approach to project execution.
  • Conduct quality compliance checks against ISO and regulatory standards.
  • Capture and report quality related KPIs.
  • Review project quality performance and seek opportunities for continuous improvements.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a quality management role within the nuclear sector.
  • Previous experience working on a nuclear licensed site.
  • Detailed knowledge of ONR site licence requirements.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations.
  • Proven experience in interpreting and implementing ISO and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to produce project related Quality Plans and processes.
  • Experience of applying quality and safety requirements.
  • Able to communicate clearly and present in a professional manner.
  • Internal Auditor qualification 0 ISO 9001:2015.

Preferred:

  • Lead Auditor qualification – ISO 9001:2015.
  • Engineering qualification or relevant experience and knowledge of design and engineering methodologies.
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute - CQI.

We require all candidates to ideally be Security Cleared (SC) or have no issue in obtaining SC.
