Role Objectives

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the repair, routine maintenance, and servicing of vehicles, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.

You will be required to participate in all necessary training and academy courses as directed.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the Workshop Controller / Mentor.

We seek an individual with outstanding communication abilities who is passionate about the automotive sector. A proactive learner who is eager to acquire new skills and knowledge, aspiring to develop and excel as a Vehicle and EV technician within Stoneacre.

You will approach sensitive situations with consideration for others and strive for constructive outcomes.

Key Duties

  • Perform vehicle work under supervision, adhering to manufacturer procedures.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and to customer satisfaction.
  • Report any additional work identified during inspections or repairs using the proper protocols.
  • Complete job cards and reports accurately, detailing faults found or repairs made.
  • Follow company practices and procedures, ensuring safe working conditions for yourself and others.
  • Attend training sessions as agreed upon with the manager/academy to gain necessary qualifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of personal and company tools.
  • Advise Service Advisors and customers regarding necessary repairs.
  • Identify and procure appropriate parts to meet customer needs.
  • Exhibit technical proficiency in both practical and theoretical aspects of vehicle systems.
  • Work towards obtaining a qualification in Electric Vehicle technology and pursue further training in this area.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise as a technician in the automotive industry, efficiently inspecting vehicles and completing assigned tasks with the effective use of relevant tools and technology.
  • Align with Stoneacre's brand values, demonstrating these in your behavior and approach to tasks and people. Exhibit honesty and integrity in all actions.
  • Conduct inspections, removals, and repairs of tyres, exhausts, shock absorbers, brakes, filters, and batteries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to colleagues and clients alike.

Entry Requirements

  • GCSE A-C or 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent, including predicted grades.
  • Duration of the apprenticeship program is 27 months.
