About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Bupa. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, ensuring the smooth operation of care services and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping, under the guidance of the Nurse.
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members to ensure they feel welcomed and supported in their role.
  • Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties, promoting independence and dignity at all times.
