We are seeking a part-time Associate Specialist Doctor to join our team at Priory Group, a leading provider of behavioral care and specialist support services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our Consultant Psychiatrist to provide continuous medical cover on a daily basis to patients on our ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients under Consultant supervision
  • Review patients' mental and physical well-being during working hours
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Consultant
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and treatments, and maintain accurate medical records

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • 12 months' adult psychiatry experience
  • Relevant experience within a similar setting (preferred)
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Code of Capacity
  • The ability to interview, assess, and treat patients, and write clear comprehensive medical notes
  • Proven record of CPD
  • Desirable: Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists, Physicians, General Practitioners, or equivalent
