Production Supervisor - Food Industry
Starting Salary: £12.35ph up to 6pm and £13.10ph after 6pm (Higher £ hourly rate depending on experience)
Location:Bilston, Wolverhampton
Type:Full Time / Permanent
Hours:Perm PM shifts : Tuesday to Friday from 14:30 to 23:00 // Saturday from 08:30 to 17:30
Immediate Start Available Perm ContractOverview:Everest People Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join a dynamic production team at a leading food processor.
As Production Supervisor, you will be overseeing production operatives and ensuring that the production process meets both customer requirements and safety targets.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of 20-25 operatives, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:Production Supervisor:- Supervise a shift of production operators, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators including line rates, quality, and yield.
- Implement ideas to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Ensure all staff are fully trained according to task procedures and individual needs.
- Engage and motivate the team through regular mentoring and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the setup and operation of production lines, ensuring products meet customer specifications and production targets.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all relevant safety standards.
- Report and address any non-conformances promptly.
- Review and improve line performance, implement new initiatives, and minimize downtime.
- Work with cross-functional teams including QA, Production Managers, and other Supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment is essential.
- Experience in the food production industry is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Proficiency in IT, including the use of production management software.
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP principles.
- Certification in Health and Safety.
