Senior Operations Role in a Thriving FMCG Business

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading FMCG business as a Site Lead, driving the site forward and setting clear expectations for the production function and engineering team. The role involves leadership and management of the production function and engineering team, driving the site forward, setting clear expectations, and ensuring maximum efficiency and output while working towards the strategic end point.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and management of the production function and engineering team
  • Driving the site forward and setting clear expectations
  • Ensuring maximum efficiency and output while working towards the strategic end point
  • Implementation of robust data capture and KPI systems
  • Preparation of reports for the weekly management meeting and monthly for the Board

Requirements:

  • Senior Operations role in a FMCG or food business
  • Proven ability in leadership, building and developing teams in demanding manufacturing environments
  • A bright and enquiring mind, able to drive solutions and plan strategically
  • Significant experience of production management in the FMCG or food industry
  • A good understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proven success in process improvement, introduction of data capture and S&OP processes
  • Structure and organised approach
  • Ideally a background in automated manufacturing processes
  • Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training would be a significant advantage
