Interim Senior Payroll Officer Role Overview

Robertson Bell is recruiting an experienced Interim Senior Payroll Officer to join a high-performing payroll team on a 3-6 month contract.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and council policies.
  • Provide expert advice on occupational pension schemes to staff members.
  • Support the Payroll Manager in running the payroll, ensuring delivery of a high-quality, responsive, and efficient service.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Payroll Officer in a local authority setting.
  2. Proficiency in using Oracle Cloud software.
  3. Familiarity with council policies and procedures.

The local council operates a hybrid working arrangement, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office. The successful candidate will be an asset to the team, bringing their expertise and experience to this challenging role.
