About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer Apprentice to join our team as a Shift Engineer. As a key member of our corporate team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and minor installations in a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on building plant, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and emergency repairs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Issue and control Permits to Work to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain Critical cooling water systems and domestic systems to L8 standard, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance and keep comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supervise engineering subcontractors and ensure compliance with protocols and procedures.
  • Develop good working relationships with Integral and client staff to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Present a professional image and deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide shift cover for absent team members and support annual building shutdowns.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments (e.g., Banking HQ, Data Centres).
  • LV Authorised Person (bonus).
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar.
  • C&G Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (training available for 17th Edition holders).
  • C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing, and certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive in achieving high operational standards.
  • Good IT and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver services within time constraints.
