Retail HR Business Partner

Hotel Chocolat is a UK-based premium chocolate brand known for its luxury gifts, drinking chocolate system, and high-quality products. With over 100 stores across the country, we're growing rapidly and seeking an experienced Retail HR Business Partner to join our team.
Job SummaryWe're looking for a skilled HR professional with expertise in employee relations, employment law, and HR policy development. As a Retail HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with our Retail management teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support on HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Advise and develop our Retail management teams on ER cases, disciplinary procedures, and HR matters
- Support with completing and submitting Occupational Health referrals
- Attend and chair weekly Retail HR Surgeries: provide advice, coaching, and guidance to Retail management teams
- Travel to stores and premises throughout the UK and ROI to support ER cases and accompany the Retail HR Manager on store visits
- Attend Retail Leadership Meetings and District Meetings
- Lead on complex/higher risk ER cases, escalating to the Retail HR Manager when necessary
- Assist and coach the Omnichannel HR Support Coordinator with low-level ER cases and act as a point of escalation for Retail HR queries
- Contribute to ongoing creation and maintenance of Hotel Chocolat's HR policies and procedures
- Review feedback from Retail Exit Surveys to identify patterns and trends, highlighting areas for improvement to the Retail HR Manager
- Work with the HR Systems & Data Analyst to produce reports detailing key HR metrics for Retail and feedback on any patterns and trends

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience advising on and managing ER cases of varying complexity up to and including dismissals and appeals
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK employment law, regulations, and best practice
