Salary: £100,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Counsel to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our legal services team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on all matters related to the education sector, including commercial contracts, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on all matters related to the education sector
  • Lead the legal services team, promoting high performance and a positive work environment
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage and advise on commercial contracts and agreements, including employment law and charity law

Requirements:

  • UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales and holding a current practising certificate
  • At least 5 years' experience working for another education provider
  • Ability to lead and build positive working relationships with the existing legal services team
  • Comfortable commuting to the office in Buckinghamshire on a hybrid basis

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £100,000 per annum and the opportunity to work with a leading education provider in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS.
