Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Health & Safety professional to support the Management Team in maintaining Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) Systems. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring Health & Safety and Product Quality standards are upheld.

  • Manage external audits, including QEHS, and participate in risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents.
  • Collaborate with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure training plans align with QEHS expectations, providing employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Monitor site performance on QEHS issues and produce statistical reports to inform business decisions.
  • Make changes to working practices to ensure safety and compliance, reducing the risk of accidents and improving overall productivity.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain QEHS systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and lead risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including those related to hazardous substances and workplace equipment.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve quality management procedures, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience in Health & Safety Management Systems, preferably with a NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including data processing and analysis.
Compensation Package

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, inclusive of benefits such as pension contributions, health and wellness programs, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.
