About the RoleThis is a full-time position based from our office in Brackmills, Northampton, with a requirement to work at least 3 days per week from the office and 2 days from home. You will be responsible for providing technical design expertise for the development of our network infrastructure technology landscape.
The successful candidate will govern the infrastructure that supports over 12,000 users across multiple locations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the network and systems. This includes documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of our existing network infrastructure architecture and technology portfolio to identify future areas for investment and consolidation.
You will work closely with our IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff, to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical design expertise for the development of our network infrastructure technology landscape
- Governing the infrastructure that supports over 12,000 users across multiple locations
- Documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of our existing network infrastructure architecture and technology portfolio
- Working closely with our IT teams to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in network infrastructure design and implementation. The ideal candidate will have:
- A good understanding of best practice infrastructure and network architectures
- Broad knowledge of IT and industry best practices
- A good working knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/ Public Cloud environments
- Understanding of Software Defined Networking
- Experience in network security products, for example Firewalls, IPS/IDS
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Database technologies, Windows servers, Windows clients, AIX and Linux servers
We offer a competitive salary and annual company bonus, as well as a range of benefits including:
- Basic salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
