We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Heat Recruitment. As a key member of our BTL underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing loan applications to ensure that all relevant documentation is received and reviewed, and that eligibility is checked against company standards and criteria. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking appraisal of applications received and submitting recommendations for underwriting checks to the Assistant Manager or Head of Loans Underwriting
* Case ownership from application through to offer, driving application to offer times by tracking the mortgage pipeline within the SLA
* Producing Loan Offers in compliance with the Lending Policy and laid down procedures, for submission to and approval by the Assistant Manager/Head of Loans Underwriting
On offer is a competitive salary in line with experience, as well as excellent benefits including annual company bonus, great pension, insurance package including private medical and income protection, career progression and study support. The role will be hybrid once you have completed initial training and probation.
