Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PhD Trapped-ion Quantum Computing Theory Intern to join our team in Broomfield, CO. As a member of our research environment, you will apply your previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits. Your responsibilities will include working on quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction or quantum algorithms, and presenting scientific results at meetings or in publications.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program
  • Graduating after December 2024
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)
You'll Thrive If You Have:
  • 2+ years' experience involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing
  • Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments
  • Experience with constructing quantum circuits
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
